Engine Paint
It took me about 4 nights of wire wheel, brake cleaner, wire brushes and wire
cup time to get the engine this clean
With all that time spent, I wanted to make sure that the motor would look nice
when it was painted.
I
used some PPG DP60 epoxy primer as a base applied with an HVLP gun
Not the best choice of colors, but it does kinda resemble the factory later
model 318/360 color pretty closely
For the color coat, I had the local paint store match up a can of spray Street
Hemi Orange in PPG Deltron. I still haven't put the clear over it yet (some
touch up to do) Once the clear is on it should be really nice looking.
